Weichai engines, with power ranges from 18kW to 10,000kW, are extensively used in commercial vehicles, construction machinery, agricultural equipment, marine propulsion, power generation equipment, and other industrial power applications. For two consecutive years, engine production and sales have surpassed one million units, achieving the broadest global power coverage and the highest production and sales volume, with heavy-duty engine sales ranking first in the world. Fast Gear owns the world's largest production base for commercial vehicle transmissions, with annual production and sales of heavy-duty vehicle transmissions leading the world. Hande Axle has the capacity to produce 1.5 million various types of axle assemblies annually, maintaining a leading position in sales within the industry. Weichai Hydraulics covers the entire industrial chain resources including pumps, valves, motors, reducers, and transfer cases. By creating a "Global Brand + European Quality + Chinese Cost" model, it has become a high-end hydraulic powertrain system supplier across all fields.
Weichai possesses national innovation platforms such as the State Key Laboratory of Engines and Powertrain Systems, the National Fuel Cell Technology Innovation Center, the National Engineering Technology Research Center for Commercial Vehicle Powertrain Systems, a national-level Industrial Design Center, the National Internal Combustion Engine Product Quality Inspection and Testing Center, the National Internal Combustion Engine Industry Measurement Testing Center, and the National Recognized Enterprise Technology Center. With ten leading innovation centers established worldwide, Weichai has created a global collaborative R&D system. From 2020 to 2022, it successively released the world's first commercial diesel engines with brake thermal efficiencies exceeding 50%, 51%, and 52%, setting global records three times. Weichai pioneered the integrated powertrain mode for heavy-duty commercial vehicles, leading globally with hydraulic powertrain assemblies for construction machinery, CVT powertrain assemblies for large agricultural equipment, and marine propulsion systems. It has been awarded nine national-level scientific and technological awards, including the National Science and Technology Progress Award, First Prize (for the year 2018).
